Our Business Services Team is seeking an Company Secretarial Assistant. This role will be instrumental in providing a wide range of company secretarial advice and documentation to colleagues and clients. As a Company Secretarial Assistant you will be working as part of a team, you will provide comprehensive company secretarial support to the team and your direct line manager in line with Duncan & Toplis practice standards and relevant governmental regulations.
This role is based in any of our East Midlands offices and we would like you to work out of our Grantham office once a week.

Your responsibilities
Here's a bit more on what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:
* Maintenance of the statutory books and records and assisting with annual compliance requirements, such as preparation of annual confirmation statements.
* Knowing your abilities and when to ask for help from peers or your direct line manager.
* Assisting with new company formations and changes to existing company structures including directorships, PSCs, charge satisfactions, addresses and accounting reference dates.
* Managing workflow and client manager expectations, improving and using specialist knowledge to add value to the CoSec team
* Developing working relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in obtaining relevant information, maximise yield and performance.
About you
We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role:
* May be part qualified in the relevant field(s) - either by qualifications or experience (not essential)
* Strong range of IT skills and experience of database management systems
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
* High standard of professional and personal conduct and ethical behaviour
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal
* The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a wider team
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage expectations
