I am currentlysupporting an innovative and established business in Trowbridge that are making waves in their service-based industry. After somewhat of a soft 're-launch' of their Procurement function (splitting SRM and Procurement into two teams), they are looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager. This is a really exciting time to be joining the business, where you will have autonomy to operate without bureaucracy and drive procurement best practices.
In this role, you will be expected to lead the procurement function by managing annual spend for goods and services, creating and deliveringpany wide procurement strategy and line manage a team of two Procurement Managers.
What can you expect?
1. Design and deliver procurement strategy by building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influencing Director & C-suite level.
2. Manage spend of c. £200m, ensuring a cost effective approach is taken whilst mitigating supply chain risks
3. Support the team to manage operational end-to-end procurement of goods and services
4. Lead, mentor and coach the procurement team of 2 Procurement Managers
5. Ensure all procurement and purchasing meets regulatory (FCA) and supply chain (ISO)pliance
6. Creation / renewal of procurement policy
What skills do you need to have?
7. Strong experience successfully creating and delivering procurement strategy
8. Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and manage staff
9. Previous experience of having direct reports
10. The ability to collaborate with suppliers to ensuremercial needs are met, with the ability to efficiently negotiate terms, pricing and contracts
11. Acumen in senior stakeholder influencing skills from Director to C-Suite level
12. MCIPS would be highly desirable for this vacancy, but experience will be necessary
13. Knowledge of FCA regulations would also be desirable
