The Role
As a Graduate Accounts Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in a broad range of accounting tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, grow your skills, and start working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA or AAT.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and VAT submissions.
* Maintaining accurate client accounts and records.
* Supporting senior accountants with audits and financial reporting.
* Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent service.
* Performing bank reconciliations and assisting with payroll processing.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Desire to pursue a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, AAT, etc.).
