Sureserve is seeking a Group Social Value Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening, coordinating and consistently delivering social value across the Group, in relation to the essential energy and compliance services we deliver to the social housing and public buildings sectors. The role will sit at Group level and report to the Group Head of ESG. The primary focus on social value delivery, measurement and impact, with secondary support for broader ESG projects. The role is intended to be practical, delivery‑focused and highly collaborative, working with internal teams, clients and external partners seeking innovative approaches to maximise our social value. This role will be instrumental in ensuring Sureserve delivers demonstrable, high‑quality social value outcomes aligned with client expectations, public‑sector frameworks and the Group’s ESG strategy. Key Responsibilities Work with bid, commercial and operational teams to develop, cost, track and report social value commitments, particularly for public‑sector and regulated contracts. Lead the development and implementation of a consistent Group ‑ wide Social Value framework, aligned to Sureserves ESG strategy, business objectives and client priorities. Support bid teams with social value related questions and submissions by writing and reviewing answers, providing data, case studies and other information as required. Support the development of training materials, guidance and practical tools to strengthen understanding of social value delivery and reporting across the Group. Create and deliver internal and external communications on social value, including intranet content, website updates, newsletters and PR. Lead the development, management and embedding of social value partnerships and initiatives across the Group, working with internal teams, supply chain partners, local authorities, community and third ‑ sector organisations to deliver high ‑ impact projects aligned with Sureserves strategy and contracts. Take ownership of social value delivery with key clients, working closely with priority and strategic accounts to co ‑ design, deliver and evidence meaningful social value projects that meet contractual commitments and client expectations. Work directly with operational teams to identify, develop and embed social value initiatives into day ‑ to ‑ day delivery, ensuring commitments translate into real, measurable outcomes on the ground. Design and implement scalable social value programmes and partnerships that can be deployed across multiple contracts while maintaining clear attribution, accountability and reporting. Drive innovation in social value, proactively identifying new, creative and practical ways to deliver social impact, strengthen partnerships, and improve outcomes for communities, clients and the wider business. Continuously improve social value delivery across the Group, identifying lessons learned, sharing best practice and evolving approaches to maximise impact and improve consistency. Develop and manage robust social value monitoring, measurement and reporting processes across the Group, including alignment to recognised frameworks. Support the collection of wider ESG data required for internal and external reporting, including contributions to annual, ESG and impact reporting. Produce clear, auditable evidence of social value outcomes for clients, funders and internal stakeholders. Build and manage a database of social value best practice, including case studies, model answers and established relationships with client, local community and third‑sector organisations. Support the Head of ESG on wider ESG initiatives, projects, policies, plans and communications as required. Identify and submit entries for relevant awards to showcase ESG and Social Value achievements. Represent the firm at industry events, forums and community engagements to foster strong relationships. Support the Sureserve Foundation in delivering community ‑ focused initiatives that contribute to the Group ’ s social value objectives. Skills, experience and knowledge Essential Demonstrable experience delivering social value in a commercial, operational or public ‑ sector ‑ facing environment. A strong delivery mindset - able to manage projects, people and multiple workstreams from concept through to execution. Experience working with data, metrics and systems, with the ability to balance data quality with real ‑ world delivery. Strong understanding of public‑sector social value requirements, scoring frameworks and reporting expectations. S trong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across internal functions, clients and external partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing reporting. Highly organised, proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working in an evolving role with competing priorities and across multiple projects. Degree in a sustainability or business-related field or equivalent. Desirable Experience working within or alongside an ESG or sustainability function. Experience of supporting bids, tenders or framework delivery Understanding of related ESG topics such as workforce, supply chain and/or environmental reporting. Experience working across a multi‑site or group structure in a commercial setting.
