Your Role:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a fixed contract. You will play a vital role in:
* Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents
* Promoting the welfare of children placed with us across the West Midlands
* Delivering high standards of service in line with fostering legislation and practice
Requirements:
* Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
* Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services
* Strong people skills and a team player attitude
* Excellent report writing skills
* Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for high-level supervision
* Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes
About You:
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emotionally challenging situations
* Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases
* Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Clifford House Fostering)
