What You’ll be Doing:
* Deliver engaging, 1:1 Functional Skills sessions in Maths and/or English tailored to each learner’s academic level and EHCP targets.
* Support students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
* Use calm, consistent strategies to build positive learning relationships and nurture engagement over time.
* Liaise with families, carers and local professionals to ensure continuity and meaningful progress.
* Foster a safe, empowering learning environment where every student feels heard and capable.
* Minimum 1 year of experience supporting students with SEN in an educational or therapeutic setting.
* Proven experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills and/or GCSE-level Maths or English.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desired Experience:
* SEN Qualifications, ABA Training, or experience with Autism-specific strategies ( PECS, TEACCH)
* PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working in an alternative provisions, home education settings, or on a 1:! basis outside the classroom.
