We are seeking
an Open Access and Repository Assistant to join the Open Access Collections Team within the Bodleian Libraries, working to facilitate access to University of Oxford research, whilst supporting the maintenance and development of the You will be primarily responsible for reviewing material deposited by Oxford academics, and making this material available through the ORA website. As part of the review process you will ensure that a deposit complies with copyright and other regulations affecting the dissemination of the work. You will support the ORA helpdesk and assist authors with depositing their work to ORA and understanding their responsibilities with regards to policies affecting research publications. You will also enhance the metadata for deposited material and facilitate access to full-text files to maximise interaction and engagement with the research content. This post provides a great opportunity to transfer the “traditional” bibliographic skills of cataloguing and authority control to the newer and still-developing area of research output data management. This is an open-ended role, working 36.5 hours per week, offering working from home 2-3 days per week. About You You will be computer literate, have experience working with a database or structured records and have good attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently are essential.
