Maintenance Engineer Somerset | 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) There’s a lot going on here right now. New projects, new kit, and millions being invested into site — which means plenty of opportunity for the right people to get stuck in and move up. We’re after a Maintenance Engineer who knows their way around manufacturing. Someone who enjoys problem-solving, doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty, and takes pride in getting things running again quickly — properly, not temporarily. If you’ve got an engineering qualification, a few years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG would be handy, but not essential), and a decent grasp of Health & Safety, you’ll fit right in. What you’ll be doing: First-fix maintenance on a range of production and packaging machinery. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults. Reducing downtime and keeping things moving. Getting involved in improvement projects and preventative maintenance. Working closely with production and other engineers to keep the site ticking. Multi-skilled? Great. PLC experience? Even better.
