We're working on behalf of a brilliant special school that looks after students with ASD from ages 6-16, and they are looking for a full-time teacher starting from September. The school is situated on beautiful grounds and has been growing consistently over the past few years.
The school prides itself on the support it provides to ASD students across all age groups, offering individualized support.
The role
This vacancy is in a wonderful Year 5 class where you will lead a group of 8 Year 5 students. You will follow the primary teaching model and be responsible for planning and marking your own lessons, with adequate PPA time allocated.
You will be supported by two full-time teaching assistants who are familiar with the students, having been there throughout the term. Candidates must have experience working with ASD students and preferably hold a QTS qualification.
