A well-established business based in Driffield is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and detail-oriented finance professional to support a busy accounts function during a period of increased workload. Offering a salary of up to £30,000, this role would suit someone with strong purchase ledger experience who can hit the ground running.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will:
1. Manage the purchase ledger process from start to finish, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Match, batch and code invoices, resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
3. Handle supplier queries and maintain strong working relationships.
4. Assist with payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations.
5. Support month-end processes related to the purchase ledger.
6. Provide general support to the wider finance team as required.
The ideal candidate will:
7. Have previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
8. Be confident working independently and managing their own workload.
9. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Be immediately available or available at short notice.
11. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
