We are recruiting for a pool of Housing Advocates for full and part time, fixed term posts for vacancies arising in the next 12 months.
About The Role
As a housing advocate with Housing Rights, you will help us work toward our vision of everyone having a home.
You Will Do This By
* providingspecialist advice,advocacyand representation on the core areas ofhomelessness,housing debtandhousing issueswhilst adheringtolegal and organisationalrequirements
* providingsupport toagencies through training,information,signpostingor referrals
* implementingappropriate casestrategies
* contributing tothedevelopment ofhousinglegislation andpolicythroughpractice-based comment
* complyingwiththeorganisationalquality standardsrequiredtomaintaintheexternal qualityaccreditation
Youllbring
About you
* aminimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C (or equivalent), to include English Language and Mathematics
* evidence of relevant qualification in relevant discipline(for example, housing,lawor advice)
* at least 12 months full time (or equivalent part time) experience gained in providing telephone, written and face-to-facehousingordebt advice to the public,in a social welfare context
* at least 12 months full time (or equivalent part time) experience providing advocacy and representation, in the context of handling a challenging advice only,signpostingandreferrals)
* demonstrated ability to see cases through to completionin accordance withorganisational objectives
* demonstrated experience of achieving positive outcomes via legal,social security benefitsorhousing casework
* skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (for example,Teams, Outlook, Word)
