Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of site engineering performance across its operation.
This company has built a strong reputation for its team-first culture, a site where people genuinely support each other and take pride in what they deliver. You'll lead a team of 10 engineers, taking responsibility for all maintenance activity across the site, this is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be actively involved on the shop floor, driving performance and setting standards.
As a Maintenance Manager your key responsibilities include:
* Overall responsibility of the day to day running of the maintenance team.
* Work closely with production to ensure rapid response to breakdown issues
* Managing the engineering department budget
* Leading, developing and supporting the engineering team
* Prioritising and coordinating breakdown response to minimise disruption
* Driving continuous improvement across reliability and efficiency
* Ensuring compliance with food manufacturing and safety standards
* Promote astrong health & safety culture
What You'll Bring to this Maintenance Manager role:
* Apprentice trained to level 3 as a minimum, ideally holding a HNC / HND in engineering
* Proven experience managing engineering teams
* Background within food manufacturing
* Strong pro active leadership skills and the ability to positively influence the team.
* Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
