Perfect Household Staff are proud to be assisting a highly respected private family in their search for an experienced Head of Household to oversee the smooth running of their fully staffed home. Based initially in the area of Greater Manchester, the family are preparing for an exciting transition to a newly constructed, larger residence in September 2026. The household environment is professional yet warm, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, discretion, and long-term stability. This role will suit a candidate who thrives in structured private households and values cultural alignment, organisation, and trust.
Working as a Head of Household within a high-calibre private residence requires a balanced approach combining managerial oversight with practical involvement. The successful candidate will take responsibility for supervising existing household staff, implementing and maintaining professional standards, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the home functions seamlessly. The role will involve close collaboration with the family’s PA, with clear boundaries between business and family support, while focusing primarily on household operations, leisure coordination, and family logistics rather than corporate matters.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of a fully staffed private household, including chef, driver, gardener, and third-party contractors
* Maintain and implement high professional standards while preserving a comfortable family home environment
* Supervise staff schedules, performance, and household structure, adapting as the family transitions to a new-build residence
* Coordinate menus and dietary considerations in collaboration with the private chef
* Manage household diaries, family activities, wellness schedules, and leisure planning
* Act as the primary point of contact for household operations, liaising closely with the family’s PA
* Support property oversight, including future planning for the new residence and occasional involvement with the family’s property abroad
* Ensure discretion, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity
* Assist with occasional travel coordination when required
Minimal Requirements
* Three or more years of private Head of Household or senior household management experience
* Conversational English
* Valid UK working permit
