Robert Half are working in exclusive partnership with a well-established and growing business based in Shrewsbury, who are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper. While the role is office-based in Shrewsbury, the client is fully supportive of remote working, offering flexibility for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient Bookkeeper who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function and has strong experience producing final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Full responsibility for the bookkeeping function
2. Preparation of final accounts up to trial balance / year-end stage
3. Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
4. Bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations
5. VAT returns and compliance
6. Liaising with external accountants as required
7. Using Xero for day-to-day financial management and reporting
Key Requirements:
8. Proven experience in a Bookkeeping role, ideally within an SME environment
9. Final accounts experience is essential
10. Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
11. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
12. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines remotely
