42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Plumber to join our expanding team, supporting a busy planned works contract in Folkestone. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing Installations, repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied social housing properties.
From fixing leaks and replacing taps to diagnosing more complex issues with heating systems or drainage, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping homes safe, functional, and comfortable. You’ll be working directly with residents, so a professional approach and strong customer service skills are essential.

Duties:
1. Carry out planned plumbing works within occupied and void properties, including full bathroom refurbishments and adaptations
2. Install flush‑floor (wet room) bathrooms, including preparation works, pipework alterations, and final fit‑out
3. Remove existing bathroom suites and make good areas in preparation for new installations
4. Install and connect toilets, basins, level‑access showers, shower trays, wastes, traps, and associated fittings
5. Modify, repair, or replace hot and cold water pipework to suit new bathroom layouts and designs
6. Install and adapt drainage systems to accommodate flush‑floor shower installations
7. Carry out plumbing works associated with accessibility adaptations, ensuring installations meet required standards and specifications
8. Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems, controls, and radiators as part of planned upgrades
9. Ensure all works comply with current plumbing regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety requirements
10. Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
11. Liaise with supervisors, and other trades to ensure works are completed on time and to specification
12. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
13. Work respectfully in residents’ homes, maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment throughout the works
14. Identify and report any additional works, defects, safeguarding concerns, or property issues encountered on site
15. Adhere to all company health & safety policies and procedures at all times
16. Provide consistently high levels of customer care and professionalism, minimising disruption to residents
Role Criteria:
17. Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a plumbing position
18. Previous experience in tiling.
19. Full UK driving licence
20. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
21. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
22. Provide own hand and power tools
23. Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
24. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
25. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
26. Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota

Required Qualifications:
City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 - zz.Archive, Fully competent in all plumbing works and good knowledge and ability to carry out works in all other trades relating to kitchen and bathroom refurbishment contract.
