Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer – Supply Chain
Location: Samlesbury - On site. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £49,400+ Dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing
* You will be required to react to and manage multiple non-conformances in a timely manner using standard problem-solving techniques
* Assuring the business and its customers that suppliers are able to consistently meet requirements relating to products, services and processes, and detect & correct non-compliant conditions
* Assuring the business and its customers, that suppliers have the capability to undertake robust root cause analysis into non-conformities and implement appropriate corrective & preventive actions
* Working with key internal and external stakeholders, visiting supplier/s in the UK and abroad to conduct / co-ordinate investigations, process confirmations, audits and support other functional engagements with suppliers
* Responsible for concisely reporting the outputs of Supplier Quality Assurance activities
Your skills and experiences
Essential
* Relevant apprenticeship or HNC/HND/Degree in a STEM subject.
* Understanding of modern Quality practices including non-conformance management, problem solving and root cause analysis with practical problem-solving experience
* Ability to adapt, be flexible and to work within a dynamic, changing environment including travel to domestic and international supplier/s
* The ability to persuade and influence a variety of stakeholder groups.
* Previous Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing experience
Desirable
* Software Quality Assurance Knowledge
* Knowledge of quality toolsets such as APQP, Six Sigma or Lean
* Knowledge of Quality standards
* Auditor experience
* A desire and willingness to drive continuous improvement and consistency across the Air business

The Supplier Quality Assurance team
Would you like to play a key role within the Supplier Quality Assurance team? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Quality Engineer at our site in Samlesbury.
As a Senior Quality Engineer – Supply Chain, you will be in a team focused on assurance of the suppliers of complex, high value, aircraft system, Airframe, specification equipment procured across multiple aircraft platforms
This role will provide you with the opportunity for career development and to gain knowledge & experience across the entire supplied product and service lifecycle, working on a range of diverse products across the whole aircraft. This role also offers the opportunity to travel extensively within the UK and internationally to supplier sites, supporting on-site assurance activities and supplier engagement. All business travel is fully supported, with travel and subsistence expenses covered, providing valuable exposure to a wide range of suppliers, cultures, and operational environments.
