We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team and play a key role in delivering authentic, high-quality Indian dishes to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities:
* Menu Preparation and Development:
* Prepare a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, breads, and desserts, adhering to traditional recipes and presentation standards.
* Contribute to menu development by introducing innovative dishes while retaining the essence of Indian cuisine.
* Ingredient Management:
* Source and use high-quality spices and ingredients to achieve authentic flavors.
* Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
* Kitchen Operations:
* Manage daily food preparation and cooking processes efficiently while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
* Oversee stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain inventory control.
* Team Collaboration and Training:
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
* Train junior kitchen staff on Indian cooking techniques and quality standards.
* Customer Focus:
* Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation to meet customer expectations.
* Adapt recipes or techniques to accommodate dietary preferences or allergies.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Extensive experience in Indian cuisine, including knowledge of regional dishes and traditional cooking techniques (e.g., tandoor, slow-cooked gravies).
* Proven ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
* Creativity and innovation in menu design while maintaining cultural authenticity.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to food safety standards.
