THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) to work within a high volume manufacturing facility on a permanent basis. This position currently operates a 3 shift system and in periods of peak production, the organisation may transition temporarily to a continental shift pattern.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Mechanical bias) to join the team based in County Durham.
THE ROLE
15. Maintaining paint plant, coating and wash based facilities
16. Carryout fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Conveyor systems, fluid tanks, pumps, motors, bearings, electrical systems
17. Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities. (PPM)
18. Fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of the pain and wash facilties across the site
19. Drive improvement activities and work with external suppliers to deliver projects on time
20. Able to prepare shift reports to highlight the shift problems and communicate this to the team in a shift handover
THE PERSON
21. Has served a 4 year apprenticeship in Multi-skilled maintenance, preferably in an automated manufacturing environment.
22. Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a Multi-Skilled discipline (Mechanical Bias).
23. Has experience maintaining automated facilties, fault finding and implementing improvements.
24. Possess a good mechanical knowledge of pumps, motors, conveyor systems including pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical.
25. Has experience refurbishing pumps, motors and bearings
26. Possess a good knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques
27. Able to produce technical reports with good working knowledge of maintenance systems.
