Join Our Community Transport Team and Make a Real Difference

Are you passionate about helping others? Do you have a flair for problem-solving and logistics? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Travel Advisor to join our Community Transport Hub, supporting vulnerable adults with mobility challenges and children, including those with additional support needs.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of a team that designs and delivers safe, efficient, and person-centred travel solutions for those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and facilitate tailored travel plans for children and adults with a range of needs, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
2. Book and schedule transport using specialist software, matching passengers with appropriate vehicles and contractors.
3. Work closely with schools, health and social care professionals, and transport providers to gather information and coordinate timely travel arrangements.
4. Provide advice and guidance on travel eligibility criteria and available transport options, supporting decision-making and care planning.
5. Dispatch vehicles and allocate routes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with service requirements.
6. Support administrative processes such as ordering services, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate data records.
7. Procure transport services within a set framework and budget, escalating higher-value decisions to management as needed.
8. Contribute to the development of innovative travel solutions that promote independence and inclusion.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:
9. Empathetic and customer-focused, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
10. Organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
11. Skilled in problem-solving and route planning, with good judgment in complex situations.
12. Comfortable with using technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
13. A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and service users.
14. Experience in a transport coordination, health and social care, or education support setting is desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills.

What We Offer

15. The chance to have a positive impact on the lives of children and adults across the community.
16. A supportive and inclusive work environment, where your ideas and contributions are valued.
17. Training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and career progression.
