Our company, Universal Support Services Group (USSG) Ltd is an ACS licensed and bonded company in the UK Security Services & Facilities Management Industries, that works with a vast number of nationwide clients within various sectors, including corporate, retail, hotels, concierge, construction, vacant property management and the public sectors.



We are looking for a motivated Operations Manager as part of our SLT on a full time, permanent basis to join our ever-growing company. To be successful in this role, you will have a security background, with both Keyholding and Facilities Management as a bonus, where you have demonstrable Operational responsibility. You will be qualified in Risk Assessment and have excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer relation skills. You must have valid professional security qualifications, inclusive of management.



Job Role:

The Operations Manager at USSG will oversee the operational performance of the security team and associated operations of our client’s sites. The chosen applicant will collaborate with all interested parties, both internal and external, to provide service and quality innovations that advance corporate objectives.

The Operations Manager will be the USSG liaison for all Contract & Site Management communications and strategies for all service quality records, not exhaustive to KPI and SLA processes to monitor and document our business services.

Key responsibilities:

* Responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of services, including rostering, assuring that H&S and excellence are at the forefront of delivery.
* Lead the Security & Facilities Management Team/s ensuring they are suitably developed, trained, rehearsed, briefed, ready and available to carry out their roles and responsibilities at all times.
* Ensure that all required security tasks are carried out by the contract guard force, in line with company policies and procedures.
* Ensure available assets are used to the best effect at all times to maximize security provided on site.
* Ensure that all incidents are recorded, investigated, and reported upon in line with company and statutory reporting requirements.
* Ensure that all required workforce administration is undertaken and completed in line with requirements

* Production of Reports & Returns summarising key activities.

Skills needed:

* A professional appearance with Excellent customer service skills
* The ability to work in a multidisciplinary organisation and develop integrated partnerships with external organisations.
* Dynamism, self-motivation, and innovation should be key abilities.
* The candidate must have the capacity to perform well under pressure.
* Excellent IT, written, and verbal skills.
* A responsible and proactive work ethic and the capacity to be completely flexible, reliable, and adaptable in work.
* Must have a solid working knowledge of the security and facilities management operations, with keyholding as a bonus.
* Must have experience in converting contract specifications into effective operations
* Possesses a full UK driving license.



Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Entry Level starting from £40k / annum as long as you have a minimum 2 Years Supervisory experience including Security, Keyholding & Facilities Management ?

Benefits: Company pension, Company Car

Schedule: Mainly Monday to Friday, with ‘Out of Hours’ and weekend work as business operations dictate

Ability to commute/relocate: To our Stockport H/Office at least once per week

Experience: Operations Management: >2 years (preferred)

* Work Location: In person and to our Client’s Site Locations throughout GB
