Our small charity makes a huge difference
We received the Queens Award for Volunteering, the MBE for charities and volunteer groups in recognition of the outstanding work our Charity does.
With a small team working in our key areas we have outcomes that show just how much can be achieved when people come together to achieve the lives of others in their community. Within our last annual report (full copies can be found on charity commission website) some of these outcomes include
600 existing outcomes continued to receive support with a further 479 households signing up in the year
3663 participations in our Community Share to access clothing, food and household items on a pay what you can basis
5314 participations have happened within our physical exercise sessions, including seated and low impact sessions.
1316 participations in Free2Be over 50's friendship session run in partnership with local organisation
1093 participations in our crafts coffee and chat sessions took place in the year. Participants were given opportunities to raise their concerns or ask for support within these sessions and support was provided including signposting and support for money issues (79 people) Anxiety (282 people) Domestic abuse (62 people) Grief (54 people) and rising costs of living (60 people) amongst many other issues affecting the health and wellbeing of our community.
1920 calls were received and responded to with support or signposting.
184 counselling and coaching sessions were provided by our team.
This is a very small snapshot of what we have achieved this year but gives you a taste of the work we do.
