Teaching Assistant – SEN Schools
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only (39 weeks per year including INSET days)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Bucks Pay Range 4 – £25,679 to £27,568 per annum (FTE £30,361 to £32,594)

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs at SEN schools in Aylesbury. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with SEN experience who is looking for greater responsibility or a more impactful and rewarding role. You will work alongside class teachers to support lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom management—and occasionally lead lessons in their absence.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
Help implement educational and personal care plans
Lead full class sessions in the teacher’s absence
Support pupils with personal care and administer medication when required
Collaborate with families, external agencies, and a multidisciplinary team
Access full training and CPD opportunities through our professional development programme
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable using ICT to support learning
