Job Opportunity: Advance Machine Technician
Location: Bellshill Dairy
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Permanent
Salary: £39,650.15
Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights (7-7)
Role Purpose
Operate production equipment efficiently to meet performance standards while maintaining Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene, and Housekeeping standards. This role offers a pathway to a career in engineering.
Responsibilities
* Operate Blow Moulding equipment effectively
* Adhere to all H&S policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with Site Accreditation Standards
* Perform fault finding and machine adjustments
* Conduct pre and post-maintenance checks
* Monitor and record machine conditions
* Support maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Assist colleagues with bottlenecks and problem-solving
* Adapt to changing priorities based on customer needs
Candidate Requirements
Must be able to:
* Meet output targets set by the shift manager
* Operate equipment safely and meet quality standards
* Reduce waste and improve machine performance
* Maintain customer focus (internal and external)
* Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting
* Adapt to shifting priorities
Preferred Experience
* Experience in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
* Teamwork skills
* Experience working shifts
Desirable Skills
* Food packaging experience
