Job Description

We are looking for Practitioner Psychologists (Clinical or Counselling) to join us in our Mood, Emotions and Relationships pathway, providing mental health provision to children, young people and families across Devon. We have vacancies in our multi-disciplinary teams in North Devon (1 WTE) and Exeter/East Devon (0.6 WTE).

It's an exciting time of change, developing our pathways under iThrive. We are passionate and committed to providing high quality services to improve outcomes for children and young people.

We would love to hear from colleagues who can bring their psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention skills to collaborative MDT working within this pathway at an exciting time of development.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling), you will be offering high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families who access the support of these pathways. You will bring skills in formulation and consultation to your team alongside contributing to wider service development.

There will be CPD opportunities to support the development of your clinical knowledge and skills.

You will have regular clinical supervision and separate line management. There is a strong and friendly network of Psychologists working across CFHD, enjoying shared CPD and professional support. We also have excellent links with the South West Doctoral training courses and regularly host trainee placements.

We encourage interest from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences, both personal and professional.

About Us

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon. CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.

Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
