Studioarc is an award-winning exhibition design consultancy. We are seeking a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our team and help shape engaging exhibitions and memorable visitor experiences.
The Role
Working closely within our small multi-disciplinary team, you will support the development of graphic design across a range of museum, exhibition and visitor centre projects. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, you will be based at our Leith studio in Edinburgh. Please note that remote working is not available for this post.
* assist in developing design concepts from initial ideas through to final artwork
* create clear, engaging graphic layouts and visual communications across print, large-scale exhibition graphics and digital platforms
* support the production of exhibition graphics, panels and interpretive content
* prepare artwork for print and large-format production
* contribute to brand development and visual identity work
* help create marketing assets to accompany our exhibitions
* assist with developing packaging design for branded merchandise
* support studio coordination and general administration
About You
We are looking for someone who is creative, with a strong eye for detail and enthusiasm for using design to bring stories to life.
* hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
* demonstrate a strong creative approach to design through your portfolio
* have strong skills in using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; experience in other design software (Figma, Procreate etc) is desirable
* have excellent attention to detail
* be able to communicate ideas visually and effectively
* be able to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment

Hours of work
This role is initially part-time (3 days per week, 9am-5:30pm), but with the potential to increase to full-time.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 pro rata, depending on experience
