As a Threat Intelligence Analyst within the Cybersecurity Intelligence Group, you will have the opportunity to investigate sophisticated cyber activity and conduct proactive research into emerging threats. Your rigorous analysis and assessments will directly influence decision making at the highest levels of the firm. You will be part of a collaborative, close-knit team working with international partners across various lines of business and external organisations. This role will allow you to leverage your interest in cybersecurity, technology, and current affairs, and your ability to conduct in-depth technical analysis. Your understanding of the intelligence process and analysis, especially within the intelligence community, will be highly valued. Experience in a financial institution will further enhance your contribution to our team.
Job responsibilities
* Delivering timely and relevant threat intelligence germane to the intent, capability, and motivations of cyber threat actors which pose a threat to JPMC.
* Working autonomously to proactively identify, analyse, and understand emerging threats as they relate to JPMC interests.
* Providing detailed analysis of cyber events and their relevance to JPMC, and an assessment as to the future trajectory of the threat posed.
* Authoring and contributing to regular written and verbal reports for global cybersecurity and Line of Business partners.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Critical thinking and technical analysis skills, evidenced by relevant work experience or formal qualifications in a STEM subject.
* A genuine interest in technology and cybersecurity, evidenced by a good understanding of computer networking concepts (OSI model, networking protocols, network traffic analysis, packet and protocol analysis, etc).
* Strong working knowledge of Python and Splunk.
* The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a range of different audiences, both verbally and in writing.
* An understanding of the intelligence cycle and associated analysis methodologies and concepts.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Intelligence community experience, or comparable private sector experience.
* Proficiency in another language besides English.
