Description Key Responsibilities AWS Infrastructure Design — Architect, maintain, and optimise cloud environments using services such as RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC. Terraform Automation — Build, maintain, and improve Terraform modules; enforce IaC best practices; manage multi‑environment deployments. Container & Orchestration — Support and enhance Docker‑based workloads and ECS deployments. CI/CD Ownership — Contribute to GitLab CI pipelines and deployment workflows. Security & Secrets Management — Manage and improve secret storage and access patterns using HashiCorp Vault. Scripting & Automation — Develop automation scripts and tooling, ideally in Python. Cross‑Team Collaboration — Work closely with developers, and product teams to support delivery and improve operational excellence. Required Skills & Experience AWS Expertise with production‑level experience across core services (RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking). Terraform Proficiency including module creation, state management, and complex multi‑environment setups. Docker and container lifecycle management. Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, runners, and deployment patterns. Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets and policy management. Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Nice‑to‑Have Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.). Scripting skills, ideally Python, for automation and tooling. Exposure to cost optimisation in AWS. Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance frameworks.
