Working in partnership with my client, we are looking for a highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead their order processing and purchasing teams, ensuring seamless operations and driving continuous improvement. They are a successful and reputable company with over a decade of experience in their sector, serving a global customer base. Efficient sourcing and a robust supply chain are at the heart of their business model.
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be instrumental in optimising our end-to-end supply chain. You will lead and mentor two key teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Your focus will be on achieving operational excellence, cost-effectiveness, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the order processing team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, optimise logistics, and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Lead the purchasing team in the strategic procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices
Building strong supplier partnerships and managing inventory effectively.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across both order processing and purchasing functions.
Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop the order processing and purchasing teams.
Ensure accurate record-keeping on their ERP system.
Develop and manage departmental budgets.
Collaborate with the QC manager to evaluate supplier performance.
Stay informed on relevant UK and international trade regulations.
Develop and present performance reports using key metrics and KPIs. Person Specification:
Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a relevant scientific field (preferred but not essential).
2-3 years' experience in a similar supply chain management role, ideally within the chemical supplies industry.
Experience using ERP or similar systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Benefits;
