Role Purpose
The Test Technician will support engineering development testing and operational product testing across a range of systems. The role requires adaptability, a proactive approach to learning, and a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and execute engineering and operational test requirements within allocated timeframes.
Provide technical test advice and support to engineering teams.
Conduct pyro-mechanical testing of weapons release systems.
Compile, record, and analyse engineering test data.
Implement process controls associated with manufacturing and self-inspection stamps.
Support thermal testing and preventative maintenance activities.
Maintain area asset control including calibration, returns, collections, and access control.
Perform initial data analysis, including fault-finding using Data Acquisition systems.
Provide high-speed camera support across departments as required.
Review and complete departmental risk assessments.
Uphold 5S principles, maintaining a clean and safe test environment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and peer development within the team.

Qualifications & Experience
Recognised aerospace apprenticeship or equivalent HM Forces engineering training.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace business.
ONC/HNC (preferred; entry-level dependent on experience).
Knowledge of:
Pyro-mechanical Ejector Release Systems (desirable).
High-speed data acquisition systems and devices (desirable).
Proven technical fault-finding ability.
Previous assembler approvals (e.g. approval stamp holder) beneficial.
Experience with explosives handling/storage advantageous.
Strong technical understanding of electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and fluid-mechanical equipment.Key Performance Measures
