Head of Bid Management – Construction & Civil Engineering
Location: Swindon
Salary: £109,000 plus car allowance
Full-Time | Permanent
A prominent organisation in the construction and civil engineering sector is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Bid Management to lead its work-winning function. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape bid strategy, drive performance, and collaborate across multiple disciplines to secure high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire multidisciplinary bid teams across complex tenders
* Develop and implement winning bid strategies aligned with business goals
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational areas
* Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement in bid submissions
* Manage departmental resources, budgets, and performance metrics
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in bid leadership within the UK construction or civil engineering sector
* Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract types
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Commercially astute with strategic thinking capabilities
* Familiarity with governance frameworks and quality standards
