Drainage Engineer – Lanes Group

About the Role
Due to continued growth we need customer-focused people to join our Utility Division and deliver solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems on the Southern Water contract.
* Travel to residential sites via HGV in a two-person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
* Deliver good customer service.
* Maintain good H&S practice while carrying out works.
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities (PPE, safe site set-ups, lone worker system, etc.).
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
* Liaise with the client regarding progress and any updates.
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions using correct PPE.
* Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on circumstances on arrival.
* Provide support to colleagues.
* Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before/after use.
* Report any defects or malfunctions in regards to training.
* Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them.
* Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by management.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, respectful, and compliant with health and safety standards. Experience with high-pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
