An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced band 5 nurse to join our motivated Neonatal Unit.
We are looking for a confident and professional registered nurse to join our multidisciplinary team providing special, high dependency, and intensive care services to newborns based at Colchester Hospital.
You will join a close and supportive team of dedicated professionals striving for the best in patient care and embodying our Trust's values. This role offers opportunities for further training, career progression, and nurturing future healthcare professionals.
This is a fixed-term/secondment post until 2nd December 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality, individualized nursing care to babies and their parents/carers as part of the interdisciplinary team.
2. Assess care needs, implement, evaluate, and perform relevant care with or without supervision.
3. Demonstrate procedures to new staff, junior staff, and students.
4. Maintain awareness of safeguarding children issues and report appropriately.
5. Maintain professional knowledge and skills, contributing to ward standards.
6. Participate in 24-hour rotational duties.
7. Lead a nursery as delegated by the shift leader.
