General Manager
As General Manager, you are responsible for the profit and loss and the balance sheet of the company. Your mission is to sustainably lead the Product Company in all its dimensions to achieve targets of operational efficiency and cost leadership, while supporting innovation and the development of new products for the VT business area. Key focus areas include operations excellence in supply chain and operations management, safety, quality, asset management and organisational development, delivering superior value and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
* Operations: Full ownership of P&L and balance sheet. Implement continuous efficiency improvements and product cost reduction programmes.
* Safety: Embrace the Vacuum Technique SHE Policy and drive zero product‑related accidents. Demonstrate visible leadership and improve physical conditions using risk‑rating tools.
* Quality: Uphold the Vacuum Technique Quality Policy. Improve product and process quality, organise regular PQM meetings, and ensure timely action plans.
* Delivery: Meet market competitive lead‑time with reliable on‑time delivery at minimum cost through lean practices.
* Product Development: Support NPI to maintain an innovative product portfolio. Reduce time to market with robust development processes and project management.
* Supply Chain: Manage an agile, reliable supply chain that meets product quality, availability, cost, and working capital targets.
* People: Attract, develop and retain talent, promote diversity, and create a strong shop‑floor leadership culture aligned with 5S, safety and operational discipline.
Qualifications
* University degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in operations management within machining/electronics/light assembly environments.
* Experience in technical/engineering management, especially NPI and complex product programme management.
* Knowledge in Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Systems, Project Management, NPI, Lean Manufacturing and P&L management.
