NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is the largest Health Board in Scotland and has a trade spend with third party suppliers of over £907m with the Procurement Department providing a comprehensive procurement and logistics service for all Health Board functions. This includes strategic sourcing and advice to improve effectiveness and value for money on all expenditure for goods, services and works.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Purchasing & Systems Manager leads on the effectiveness and efficiency of all aspects of operational and tactical purchasing activity including procurement systems which underpin this activity. A key dimension of the role will involve building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure that systems, processes and services are tailored to meet the requirements of end users and support patient care.
This is a significant post within the Procurement Department and within the Health Board generally presenting an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organised and innovative candidate interested in improving all aspects of the Purchase to Pay process.
