MISTRAS Group Ltd work on spectacular and iconic structures and have an opportunity to join our team based at Bridgend in Wales as a Multi Skilled NDT Technician. Our NDT Technicians carry out NDT tests and examinations on our client sites or at base and provide the results in a series of reports which are then delivered back to the client. We also ask our multi-skilled technicians to undertake access related projects with use of IRATA Rope Access and Confined Space skills and qualifications. You will take a lead role in the onsite delivery of such services, supporting Managers with the following: Responsibilities: Performing NDT activities in line with the work pack in a safe and efficient manner. Leading on-site NDT campaigns with a focus on the following: Managing client relations on site in a professional manner. Setting up and calibrating all inspection equipment used on the project. Applying testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications. Managing on-site risks and issues associated with project performance. Interpreting and evaluating inspection results. Preparation of client inspection reports. Reviewing and approving client inspection reports Develop NDT procedures with support of Level 3 where required. Following MISTRAS safety work practices and procedures. Demonstrating excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promoting a positive customer service attitude internally and externally. Take an active part in safety observations and good catch programmes. Essential Certification / Qualifications: PCN UT Level 2 (3.1 / 3.2) PCN MPI Level 2 PCN DPI Level 2 IRATA Rope Access Level 1 Desirable Qualifications: BOSIET / FOET Offshore Survival PCN ET Level 2 (Welds) PCN UT Level 2 (3.8 / 3.9) MIST CCSNG CSCS C&G Confined Space Your Profile and Previous Experience: 3x Level 2 PCN qualifications (or working towards) Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering NDT techniques in different working environments (e.g., offshore, onshore, overseas) Have a good general knowledge of all commonly used NDT methods, including their limitations. Experience of performing NDT activities at height. Demonstrable experience in preparation of work packs Dynamic, self-motivated, resilient, and positive, you’ll be comfortable juggling priorities and mucking in with the team. Good problem-solving skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines. Be both a team player and a self-starting solo performer. Strong communication skills, both internally and externally You’ll need a driving licence, the ability to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally and work flexibly to achieve business goals.
