Communications Manager at St. James’s Place
Location: Cirencester Office – Hybrid workplace – 12 month Fixed‑Term Contract – Mid‑Senior Level.
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our team at SJP. Sitting within the Communications function, this role plays a vital part in shaping and delivering engaging internal and partnership communications that support our business strategy and bring our culture to life. You will work closely with leaders and cross‑functional teams across a matrix organisation to influence how our people connect with our purpose and values, ensuring our messages are clear, consistent and impactful.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and content strategy aligned to SJP’s business goals.
* Create and lead an editorial calendar to deliver timely, compelling content across online and offline channels.
* Collaborate with leaders, cross‑functional teams and subject matter experts to develop content that supports our strategy and strengthens our culture.
* Lead all aspects of the creation of multimedia assets, working with designers, videographers, agencies and other stakeholders.
* Monitor and analyse content performance, making data‑driven recommendations for improvement.
* Ensure all communications reflect SJP’s brand, tone of voice and narrative while engaging employee and partnership audiences.
Qualifications & Criteria
Essential criteria:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong copywriting ability.
* Experience in content strategy development and implementation.
* Strong background in editorial planning and use of content management systems.
* Ability to run multiple communication streams and deliver high‑quality output.
Desirable skills:
* Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
* Experience handling departmental or divisional communications within a matrix organisation.
