We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team at iwis Drive Systems Ltd. This is a full-time position within a busy distribution environment, with opportunities to develop within the business. About the Role Our Tipton site is primarily a distribution warehouse; however, the role also involves light engineering and value-added tasks, including chain preparation and modification. You will be working in a busy warehouse environment, reporting to the Warehouse Manager and working as part of a team. You will also work closely alongside a sales team based on site to support customer requirements and ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The role will also involve a level of customer service, including dealing with customers at our trade counter and responding to general enquiries in a professional and helpful manner. Key Responsibilities - Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch - Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries - Stock control and general warehouse duties - Using SAP/ERP systems for stock movements and order processing (preferred to have experience in SAP/ERP) - Operating forklifts (preferred with valid licence) - Serving customers at the trade counter and assisting with enquiries - Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment Additional Duties (where required): - Cutting roller chain to customer specifications - Basic chain rework and preparation tasks - Supporting light manufacturing/assembly activities within the warehouse - Handling engineering components accurately and safely Requirements - Previous warehouse experience is essential - Basic customer service experience or confidence dealing with customers (trade counter experience advantageous) - Preferred to have experience in SAP/ERP systems - Essential: Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence & experience - Good attention to detail and accuracy - Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player - Comfortable working with engineering-type products & machinery (training provided where needed) Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 08:30 17:00 (37.5 hours per week) - 1-hour unpaid lunch break Salary - £2,125 per month (approx. £25,500 per annum)
