The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, assist, and implement a full life enrichment program and volunteer program, as well as maintain and update on-campus communication.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collaborate with the resident services director in planning, implementing, and facilitating social and recreational programs at the campus.
2. Include structured individual and group activities and facilitate resident-led events and activities.
3. Drive the company vehicle when facilitating off-campus events, ensuring all programming guidelines align with CL's LifeConnect philosophy. Support marketing efforts, including updating the MyCov Life app based on residents' levels of living.
4. Plan and escort off-campus events such as educational outings, trips, and performances, maintaining compliance with CL Policy.
5. Coordinate with Life Enrichment in managing the resident and community volunteer programs.
6. Develop and oversee the volunteer program, including recruiting, scheduling, and coordinating volunteers.
7. Work with other departments to plan and facilitate events like townhalls and resident council meetings.
8. Periodically plan and execute larger-scale events.
9. Update the on-campus TV channel and utilize other communication methods like newsletters and information boards.
10. Edit newsletters as needed.
11. Stay current with trends in recreational programming for older adults and ensure standards are met or exceeded.
12. Provide welcome and orientation for new residents, update care plans, and participate in care conferences as needed.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
* Required Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Preferred Degree: Associate's Degree
* Experience: 2+ Years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
* Experience working with senior adults.
* Strong communication, organizational, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to design and implement programs compliant with state regulations.
* Ability to train and mentor team members.
* Develop and schedule life enrichment programs aligned with residents' interests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Sufficient physical ability and mobility for an office/community setting.
* Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
* Capability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
* Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
* Operate equipment based on department and weather conditions.
* Repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers (typing/writing).
* Vision requirements: near and far acuity, peripheral vision.
COMPENSATION:
Pay Range: $14.50 - $19.71
A reasonable pay estimate considers qualifications, experience, skills, education, location, and internal/external equity.
