We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships, coordinating projects, preparing quotations, and providing timely updates to customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and drive sales.
Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
* Understand customer needs and requirements to provide appropriate solutions.
* Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
Project Management
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
* Initiate Sales Order Launch when customer's Purchase Orders are received.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
* Anticipate and mitigate any potential project risks.
* Coordinate with other departments to compile and submit documentations as required (e.g. pre-production/final product documents, concessions/non- conformances)
Quotations
* Interpret product Bill of Material (BOM) and drawings to understand customer’s requirements
* Prepare accurate and competitive proposals/quotations for customers.
* Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies.
* Follow up on quotations and negotiate terms as necessary.
Customer Updates
* Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their projects, open order reports.
* Address any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project life cycle.
Business Development
* Seek and prospect new clients.
* Prepare and execute sales pitch and PowerPoint presentations to key customers and clients.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Requirements
* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines will be an advantage.
* Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to problem-solve, prioritize and multitask.
* Exceptional communications and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
