We have an excellent opportunity available for you to grow your career and make a difference at Nomad Foods! Joining us as the Supplier Assurance Manager responsible for the assessment and performance management of the suppliers to Nomad Foods.
About the role…
Primarily responsible for the assessment and performance management of the suppliers to Nomad Foods so that the performance of the materials that they supply to sites is optimal. Also responsible for carrying out due diligence checks on the suppliers and ensuring that the food safety status of suppliers is well understood and captured within NF SA systems and any underperformance from the suppliers is managed and reported. Coordinating focused SA activity as it pertains to Packaging Suppliers, leading and delegating improvement plans with key packaging suppliers
Responsibilities:
1. Input to delivery of annual NF Supplier technical visit /audit program
2. Input to delivery of agreed supplier quality improvement plans and communication thereof
3. Input into new supplier approval and delisting as appropriate
4. Supporting the improvement of supplier KPIs through liaison with suppliers, factories, fishing vessels, procurement, R&D etc.
5. Liaising with NF factories to provide a Supplier Assurance service:
6. Investigating supplier issues as highlighted by manufacturing, local QA; reactionary technical visits related to production issues/intake checks
7. Progressing resulting supplier related complaints to conclusion, including feedback to suppliers
8. Addressing adverse trends in material performance
9. Technical input into selection of new suppliers and materials including, risk assessments, material sign-off, Self-audit questionnaires etc. and associated data management.
10. Supporting the NF sites in maintaining their GFSI status in the areas of Supplier Assurance and Food fraud and authenticity management.
About you…
We need someone with strong experience in Supplier Assurance with the food industry. As well as understanding retailer specifications.
* Proven experience of Food / Science degree equivalent and/orSA/QC/QA experience in food manufacturing environments.
* HACCP level 3 essential
* Ideally have had experience in dairy category.
* Strong stakeholder management across various levels.
* Strong communication skills.
