We are looking for a high calibre, degree qualified Product Engineer to lead the technical evolution of our world leading wine and Champagne preservation systems. This is a hands on, high impact role that requires a blend of creative engineering, rigorous data analysis, and obsessive attention to detail. You will be responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into market ready, premium hardware, ensuring Bermar remains the global gold standard in our industry.
Key Responsibilities
End to End Product Engineering
* Innovation: Lead the design and development of next generation preservation systems, focusing on mechanical precision, electronics integration, and high end aesthetics.
* Prototypes to Production: Rapidly develop, test, and refine prototypes, ensuring they are optimised for both performance and scalable manufacturing.
* Continuous Improvement: Use field data and technical insights to re engineer existing lines for improved reliability and sustainability.
Technical Strategy & Project Ownership
* Roadmap Execution: Manage the R&D pipeline with strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Horizon Scanning: Identify and integrate emerging technologies such as IoT sensors or advanced materials to maintain our competitive edge.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive technical files, CAD drawings, and compliance documentation.
Cross Functional Integration
* Bridge the Gap: Work closely with Production to ensure designs are manufacturable, and with Marketing to ensure they deliver a truly premium user experience.
* Expert Voice: Act as the technical authority within the business, providing clear, data led updates to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Education & Experience
* Degree Qualified: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related technical discipline is essential.
* Proven Track Record: Experience in a fast paced manufacturing or R&D environment, ideally involving fluid dynamics, pressure systems, or electro mechanical products.
* CAD Mastery: Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk is required.
