Job Title: Consultant – Principal Designer Services

EHS International is seeking an experienced Consultant to provide Principal Designer advisory services under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
This is a key opportunity for a Health & Safety professional with strong design-stage experience to play a vital role in planning, managing, and coordinating design safety across high-profile construction and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional advisory support to assist in discharging Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations 2015
* Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety during the design phase of projects
* Review and develop pre-construction information, design risk assessments, and relevant documentation
* Support project teams in identifying, eliminating, or controlling foreseeable risks during design development
* Liaise with design teams, contractors, and project managers to ensure safety considerations are embedded from concept through to completion
* Attend project and client meetings as required and provide clear safety design guidance
Requirements
* Proven experience providing Health & Safety or CDM advisory services within the construction or engineering sectors
* Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and UK construction legislation
* Ability to plan, manage and coordinate design safety activities and risk assessments
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a practical approach to safety in design
* Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent)
* Chartered Membership of IOSH or APS (desirable)
