A vacancy has arisen in our Leeds office (with flexible hybrid working).
The successful candidate will be an experienced paralegal, with the ability to take on and run a small existing caseload with limited supervision and offer support to two fee earners running a caseload of residential freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
The role
On offer is the opportunity to work with a variety of clients including local authorities, developers and investors, supporting them with a range of residential work. We assist clients with both freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from inception through to completion and act for developers on disposing of plots on new build housing developments.

What we are looking for from you
A proven track record of working within residential property is essential (ideally 5+ years).
The successful applicant will possess the following skills key to the role:
* Previous experience advising on both freehold and leasehold transactions as well as new build housing developments
* Basic knowledge of statutory lease extensions and enfranchisement under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 and/or Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
* A basic knowledge of common issues in the sector such as the Building Safety Act and leasehold reforms
* Good knowledge of the UK Lenders Handbook and the requirements of mortgage lenders.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
* Strong communication skills with an ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
* Enthusiastic outlook and a keenness to work collaboratively as part of a team with colleagues at junior and senior levels
