PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £33,000 - £43,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London weighting may be applicable for this role.

JOB PURPOSE
This role reports into the Head of Creative, devising and producing creative audio campaigns to support the BBC's slate in Scotland, covering BBC Radio Scotland's content, station imaging, podcasts and production of cross promotional campaigns for our video, news and sports content.
The Creative team create brand and content campaigns in support of the BBC's portfolio of content and services and the role is varied in its output spanning drama, comedy, sport, factual and entertainment, investigative journalism and podcasts including true crime, sport and news. A typical end to end content campaign could cover key art, social assets, tv and radio trailers, iPlayer and Sounds pre-roll and for wider scale campaigns, out of home design and paid media. Recent campaigns produced by the team include TRNSMT, Scottish Cup, Only Child, The Agency Unfiltered, and Murder Trial plus podcasts Dead Man Running, Inside Murder Trial and Who Killed Emma?
The Audio Creative role would work both in support of our audio slate and our wider slate joining up with the creative team to ensure consistency across the audio elements of our campaigns. The role is varied and flexible in projects and could include designing an audio treatment for BBC at the Edinburgh Festivals promotion on radio to creating impactful audio campaigns for external platforms.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Devise and script targeted trailers and campaigns for BBC content.
* Edit programme material to create compelling audio promotions tailored to different audiences.
* Record and edit original audio content, directing voice over artists, presenters, and contributors.
* Liaise with marketing, media planning, and content producers to deliver high-quality campaigns.
* Manage projects from brief to delivery, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Proven experience in creating and script-writing conceptual and clip-based audio campaigns.
* Awareness of BBC audio network styles and station imaging.
* Proficiency in self-operating digital audio editing (e.g. Adobe Audition).
* Skills in directing/interviewing/recording presenters, voice over artists, and contributors.
* Strong communication and planning skills with attention to detail.
DESIRED:
* Experience with digital audio platforms and campaign development.
* Understanding of technical audio delivery requirements for BBC Sounds.
* Passion for broadcast content and awareness of audience habits.
* Ability to work collaboratively across creative teams.
* Familiarity with BBC branding and promotional standards
