Job Description
Randstad CPE is looking for an Assistant Contracts Manager to join our FM client in the North East. As a person, you will be highly motivated, a people person capable of driving high performance, and committed to continuous development in service delivery, performance management, and service standards. Demonstrating a passion and understanding of quality customer service based on strong personal values and extensive experience is essential.
Role Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership to ensure contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
2. Identify opportunities for strategic development of the contract to increase turnover and profitability, add additional services and projects, and re-tender contracts successfully.
3. Ensure effective communication and implementation of business policies and processes within the contract.
4. Ensure healthy and safe working conditions, with policies and processes effectively implemented across the business and subcontractors, and regularly reviewed.
5. Optimize staffing structures across contracts, balancing cost reduction with service excellence, supporting workload fluctuations and disaster recovery.
6. Ensure contracts are staffed by competent teams with effective succession planning.
7. Collaborate with other operational managers to develop the business, foster teamwork, and support colleagues.
8. Develop financial plans for revenue and profit, reduce WIP and debt, control costs, and promote contract growth, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
9. Implement control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.
10. Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operational activities and foster strong relationships with key client contacts.

* Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role with line management experience.
* Aptitudes: Strong customer focus, excellent verbal and basic written communication skills.
* Self-motivated, systematic, results-oriented, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Committed to continuous improvement.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
