Join to apply for the Senior Care Assistant role at HC-One
About The Role
We have opportunities for both Full Time Senior Care Assistants on Days (44hrs per week) and Nights (33hrs per week). We are happy to discuss these options during the interview.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining us gives you a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives.
Your role will involve planning and delivering care that promotes residents’ security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and serve as a positive influence. Tasks include assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, communication with families, and supporting social and recreational activities, including medication administration.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are essential. Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. What matters most is your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management. Your communication should always be considerate and kind.
