Job Description
The Children’s Homes provides a loving home for a group of up to 6 young people, usually aged between 11 – 18 years. Our trauma informed approach affords young people the opportunity to experience a high level of care in an understanding and non-judgmental environment.

As part of our team, you would:
* Provide a relational, warm, and understanding approach to our young people and families.
* Demonstrate core values in line with ‘The Promise’ whilst advocating for the rights of our young people.
* Embrace our nurturing approach to the individual needs of our young people in line with Dan Hughes ‘Dyadic Developmental Practice’.
* Work within a friendly, caring, forward thinking, fun and enthusiastic team.
* Work within current legislation, policies, and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council through working in partnership with other professionals and agencies.
* Evidence a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
All applicants MUST have availability for 7 days a week, sometimes at short notice. We are particularly looking for individuals who can work week days Monday to Friday.

* Fernbank Children's Home, Peterhead
* Coblehaugh Children's Home, Inverurie
* Scalloway Children's Home, Fraserburgh
The ability to travel is required as the successful candidates will be asked to cover the 3 areas.
Requirements
This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 6 months of employment.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
