Activate Learning is seeking an inspiring and passionate Hairdressing Teacher to join our hairdressing team at Guildford College. We’re looking for a motivated, creative, and enthusiastic professional who can spark curiosity, nurture talent, and ensure our students have a memorable learning experience.
About the Hairdressing Teacher role
You will use your strong Hairdressing knowledge and practical expertise to deliver engaging, purposeful lessons in theory and practice across Levels 1, 2 and 3. Working with our dedicated team, you’ll help plan and deliver a curriculum that meets current industry demands and prepares students for successful careers.
Our Lifestyles department has an outstanding track record of delivering vocational hairdressing courses with employability at their core. Through strong industry links and a teaching team of highly experienced professionals, we offer well-established, professionally accredited programmes that consistently achieve excellent outcomes.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 18.5 hours per week based at Guildford college.
What do you need to be successful as Hairdressing Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are seeking a dedicated professional who can inspire and guide our students, helping them gain not only their qualifications but also the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to excel in the hairdressing industry.
You will bring
* Professional expertise - Minimum Level 3 Hairdressing qualification, recent industry experience, and an Assessor’s Award (IQA and teaching qualifications are desirable).
* Engaging teaching skills - Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop learners across all levels, fostering both technical ability and workplace readiness.
* Personal qualities - Flexible, adaptable, and highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills.
