Job Title: Neonatal Support Worker
To provide essential clinical support within the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and Transitional Care (TC). Ensuring a clean, well-organized, and welcoming environment for infants, parents, and staff. This role focuses on administrative, housekeeping, family support duties, and direct patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
The post holder will play a key role in the team to provide a family-centred and supportive environment, encouraging parental involvement in the care of their babies. This role is vital for the smooth operation of the SCBU and Neonatal Transitional Care services, offering essential support to staff and families.
Please note this is a shift work position, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. We aim to recruit staff for an immediate start, but this can be flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the neonatal team clinically as needed.
* Ensure the environment complies with Health and Safety, Infection Control, and Fire Safety policies.
* Support staff in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and organized environment for infants, parents, and staff.
Person Specification:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Genuine desire to be part of our team and provide outstanding care.
* Ability to work well independently and within a team.
* Hardworking, compassionate, and passionate about caring for this client group.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as clinical training and daily supervision will be provided to ensure safe, confident, and competent performance of clinical skills.
