Join our dedicated team as a Pastoral Worker SEMH and support boys aged 7-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a residential setting in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. As a Pastoral Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. Your responsibilities will include: Building positive relationships with the boys and serving as a trusted mentor and role model Implementing individualised care plans and behaviour management strategies Facilitating engaging activities and workshops to promote personal growth and development Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures To ensure suitability and consistency for our pastoral team, this role includes a 4-week period as a SEN Teaching Assistant. During this time, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a classroom setting and familiarise yourself with our unique approach to supporting students with SEMH needs. We are seeking candidates who possess: A genuine passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable) In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer a competitive salary of £14 - £18 per hour for temporary positions, with the potential for a permanent role offering £22,547-£24,458 per annum plus a £1,344 sleep-in allowance.
